Arrests
A Treeside Drive man, 25, was charged with two counts of felonious assault. He is accused of firing shots at two people, hitting one a half-dozen times in the back and legs.
A Storer Avenue man, 21, was charged with aggravated menacing, carrying a concealed weapon and ethnic intimidation. He is accused of pointing a shotgun at a man walking on Herman Avenue near Bisson Avenue. Officers said they found a shotgun in bushes.
A Haynes Avenue man, 20, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, improper handling of a weapon and possession of drugs. Police said he was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. He is accused of having drugs and a loaded gun.
A Hillwood Drive woman, 32, was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence. She is accused of stabbing someone in the left elbow and lower back.
An Oakwood Avenue man, 43, was charged with gross sexual imposition and assault. He is accused of pulling off a woman’s clothing and fondling her.
A Grifton Avenue man, 39, was charged with rape. A woman accused him of engaging in sexual conduct with her numerous times over a year.
An Avon Avenue man, 20, a Yale Street woman, 28, and a Bedford Heights man, 25, were charged with receiving stolen property and possession of criminal tools. Police said the three were stopped in a stolen car.
A Kenmore Boulevard man, 26, was charged with receiving stolen property — three men’s rings worth $700 that were taken from an Allendale Avenue home.
An Orrin Street man, 28, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle and obstructing official business. Police said he was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. A handgun was found during a search.
A Frederick Boulevard man, 28, was charged with failure to comply with police orders and obstructing official business. He is accused of leading officers on a car chase and crashing into a South Maple Street home. The man ran but was arrested after a brief chase.
A Kenmore Boulevard man, 26, was charged with robbery and aggravated burglary. He is accused of knocking on the door of a Coventry Street home, demanding money and prescription pills, then running away.
A Tallmadge Avenue man, 27, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He is accused of renting a U-Haul trailer, but not returning it.
A Patterson Avenue man, 54, was charged with burglary. A homeowner reported seeing him enter a garage. Property belonging to the homeowner was later found in his possession.
A Seward Avenue man, 20, a Chamberlin Avenue man, 18, and a Dover Avenue man, 20, were charged with aggravated robbery. The men are accused of robbing a person at gunpoint in the person’s home and taking $300, an Xbox 360 and an iPhone 4 cell phone.
A 25-year-old man from 10th Street Northwest, Canton, was charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault. He and four accomplices are accused of assaulting someone and taking $600.
An East Crosier Street man, 35, was charged with domestic violence. Police said he had a previous conviction for domestic violence.
A Virginia Avenue resident, 24, was charged with domestic violence.

A Swigart Avenue man, 37, was charged Feb. 1 with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals used in the manufacturing of drugs and two counts of endangering a child. Police reported finding chemicals to make methamphetamines in the basement. Two children live in the home, reports said.
A man and woman were charged Feb. 1 with stealing a vehicle and credit cards belonging to the female’s grandmother.
A man, 31, was charged Jan. 31 with domestic violence. His girlfriend told police he was high on bath salts and choked her.
A man, 51, was charged with felonious assault Jan. 30 in the stabbing of another man, 41.
An Akron man, 22, was charged with domestic violence Jan. 29 in the assault of his sister, 14, at her Michigan Place home.

Someone broke into an East Lake Avenue home Jan. 27-31.
Thefts
A 15th Street Northwest man, 40, told police Jan. 28 that he hired an escort who asked him to pay a $200 fee up front so she could pay a cabdriver. He gave her the money, she went outside, got into a cab and left. She told police she left because the man asked her to perform a sex act.
A man told police someone stole his wallet and credit cards Jan. 28 at a Wooster Road North bar.
The owner of a Wooster Road North bowling center reported Jan. 28 that $3,000 was stolen from an office.

Arrests
A Colonade Drive girl, 13, was charged with domestic violence Jan. 27 in the assault of her mother.
An Ira Road boy, 15, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving without a license and being unruly Jan. 25. He is accused of taking his mother’s car without permission.
Stalking
A Fairlawn woman reported Jan. 26 that a suspicious vehicle circled the parking lot three times while she used a bank ATM. She reported to Fairlawn police that she saw the same vehicle in her neighborhood.
Copley Township
Arrest
A former employee of Bob Evans, 4076 Medina Road, was charged with theft Jan. 11 after a boss told police that the 23-year-old woman left for a break but did not return. Her cash drawer was $120 short. She denied to police that she took the money.
Fraud
A Hillside Drive woman reported Jan. 28 that someone used her corporate account and name to ship counterfeit money orders to addresses in December. She discovered the fraud when she received a call from someone who received a package.
Cuyahoga Falls
Arrests
A Shannon Avenue man, 35, was charged with domestic violence Jan. 25. He is accused of pushing, smacking and choking his wife during a quarrel over money.
A Searl Street boy, 15, was charged with disrupting school Jan. 24. He is accused of skipping his class at Cuyahoga Falls High School with another student, then cursing and pushing a principal when confronted.
Thefts
About $12,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen Jan. 25 from a home in the 1500 block of 18th Street. Police said someone climbed through an unlocked window and stole a box full of gold and diamond jewelry while the residents were away.
A television, laptop computer and video game system worth a total of $1,445 were reported stolen Jan. 25 from a home in the 2400 block of North Haven Boulevard. Someone broke a back window to get into the home.

An Auberry Drive man, 29, was charged with domestic violence Jan. 25. He is accused of striking his brother in the head and face during a quarrel.
Breaking and entering
Northstar Asphalt of Sunset Strip Avenue Northwest in Jackson Township reported Jan. 23 that $14,220 worth of copper, brass and steel utility covers was stolen from a construction trailer in the 5100 block of Lauby Road after a lock was cut off.

Officers investigated a gas leak Jan. 25 at Western Reserve Academy. Officers and firefighters went to Ellsworth Hall in the 100 block of College Street because of an odor complaint. They found a leak in two deep fryers in the kitchen.

A log splitter valued at $2,500 was reported stolen Jan. 30 from a yard in the 3600 block of Torrey Pines Drive.

A video-game system and jewelry were reported stolen Jan. 28 from a home in the 2500 block of Berry Road.
Springfield Township
Arrests
An Ellet Avenue man, 23, was charged with felony domestic violence Jan. 25. He is accused of grabbing his girlfriend by the throat, choking her on the ground and throwing a chair at her.
A Meadow Drive man, 29, and a Linwood Road resident, 42, were charged with receiving stolen property Jan. 22 after police stopped a pickup truck on Canton Road that matched the description of one involved in the theft of scrap metal at MA-TECH USA on Albrecht Avenue.
Two Schrop Intermediate School students, 11 and 9, were arrested Jan. 20 after a fight on a school bus. The boys are accused of assaulting a fellow student, 11.
Breaking and entering
A Howard Avenue man told police Jan. 21 that someone forced open a garage door and stole $1,325 in tools.

Arrests
A 22-year-old man from Mennonite Road, Mantua, and a Colony Park Place woman, 46, were charged Jan. 26 with child endangering. The man also was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing marijuana. Police said U.S. marshals arrested the man, a registered sex offender who is accused of having marijuana, paraphernalia, pornographic videos and magazines near a 1-year-old boy at a home in the 3700 block of Elm Road.
A 22-year-old woman from Ray Court, Winesburg, was charged with forgery, felony theft and misuse of a credit card Jan. 27. She is accused of stealing a Genevieve Boulevard woman’s credit card and making six purchases totaling $150.
A Colony Park Drive man, 28, was charged with felony domestic violence Jan. 29 in the assault of a woman, 34, with whom he lives.
Identity theft
A Preakness Drive woman, 49, reported Jan. 27 that someone used her Social Security number to open two cell-phone accounts. The woman received a $620 bill from AT&T and a $417 bill from T-Mobile.
A Sanford Avenue woman, 28, reported Jan. 24 that someone filed a false 2011 tax form with her information. The IRS asked the woman to report the incident to police.
Theft
A television, diamond earrings, 75 DVDs and a surround-sound system worth a total of $1,775 were reported stolen Jan. 29 from a home in the 5400 block of Young Road. A basement window was broken to get into the home.

Arrest
A homeless man, 50, was charged three times with criminal trespass Jan. 24-29 inside the Saxon Village apartment complex in the 200 block of North Thomas Road. On Jan. 29, he also was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after officers reported finding him in an apartment with a 3-inch folding knife. Two days before, he was charged with obstructing official business and criminal trespass at the complex after he ran when he saw a cruiser. Police said the man was involved in several disturbances at the apartment the week before.
Dog attack
Police said a girl, 11, was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital on Jan. 25 after a German shepherd attacked her and bit her several times at a friend’s house in the 400 block of Peter Path.

A Guilford Road man, 47, was charged with forgery and theft Jan. 26.
Thefts
A cell phone was reported stolen from a Medina High School classroom Jan. 24.
Aluminum doors were reported stolen from a Broadway Street building Jan. 25.

A stolen credit-card number was used to send flowers from a Wadsworth florist to a Doylestown woman Jan. 28. Police said the incident may have been an attempt to test the validity of the credit-card information.
Thefts
Catalytic converters were reported stolen Feb. 1 from several vehicles on Sandpiper Lane.
A Grandview Avenue woman reported Jan. 31 that an Internet company made an unauthorized withdrawal from her bank account.

Arrests
A Cleveland man, 29, was charged with improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle Jan. 29 while driving at Fairchild Avenue and Stonewater Drive.
Two Cherry Street men, both 40, and a 29-year-old woman from Griggy Road, Mogadore, were charged with possessing chemicals used to make methamphetamine Jan. 27 in the 200 block of Cherry Street.

Arrests
A 47-year-old man from Boulevard Street, Akron, was arrested Jan. 25 on felony warrants accusing him of misuse of a credit card and receiving stolen property.
An Arlington Avenue Northwest woman, 27, was arrested on warrants charging him with forgery and felony theft.
A North Lawrence man, 19, was charged with receiving stolen property Jan. 23 in the theft of an iPod and a GPS unit, worth a total of $400, from two cars at an apartment complex on Shakertown Drive Northwest.
A Phoenix man, 63, was charged with burglary, possession of criminal tools and obstructing official business. Police said a Willowlane Avenue Northwest resident found the man in his home. He fled into the woods, but was arrested.
A Crimson Street Northwest man, 41, was charged with domestic violence Jan. 23. He is accused of pushing his wife against a counter, yelling at her and preventing her and her daughter from leaving a house.
A Kellydale Street Northwest man was charged with felony domestic violence and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle Jan. 21. He is accused of threatening to kill a woman after breaking into her home by driving her car through a garage door.
Fraud
A Pinedrive Circle Northwest man reported Jan. 18 that someone used his name to open a credit line and then charged $992 through PayPal.
Thefts
Someone rented a $1,099 carpet cleaner from Falls Vacuum of Stark County on Portage Street Northwest but hasn’t returned the cleaner.
A Massillon woman told police Jan. 19 that a $600 stereo speaker was stolen from her car on Castlebar Street Northwest.

A 40-year-old man from Cleveland Avenue Northwest, Canton, was charged with felonious assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct Jan. 21. He is accused of attacking officers who questioned him after he was found walking around Pro Care Auto on Cleveland Avenue Northwest.
A 32-year-old man from Stanton Street, Akron, was charged with receiving stolen property, destroying or concealing the identification of a motor vehicle, possessing criminal tools and obstructing official business Jan. 21. The charges involve a car stolen in November from a Dover woman and license plates reported stolen from a Plain Township woman’s vehicle.
